Clarity PSHE
21 lessons. One cast of six. One city.
PSHE in Hong Kong schools often runs on a UK scheme that does not fit. Form tutors and non-specialists teach it. The lessons had to work in any teacher’s hands and hold a room of teenagers.
A series of graphic-novel decks. One cast of six Hong Kong students acts out every lesson, in real places across the city. Every lesson has the same shape, so any teacher knows where they are.
Project information
Clarity is my own PSHE programme for Hong Kong secondary schools. It is live at claritypshe.com, with KS3 and KS4 packs ready for September 2026. Each lesson ships as a graphic-novel deck, presenter notes, a walkthrough video and a quick-start sheet.
The art follows one locked style: bold black outlines, Ben-Day dots, halftone texture and gold lettering on a black page. Each slide is one image, made with an AI image model from one cast sheet, then checked by eye before sign-off. A spelling error means a remake.
The programme was evaluated at a Hong Kong international school: 278 students, 13 teachers and 16 lesson observations. 11 of 13 teachers felt confident to deliver it. 9 of 13 strongly rated the training videos.

01One series, one look
21 lessons on money, identity, stress, gambling, relationships and more. Every one uses the same cast, the same black page and the same gold lettering.

02Every lesson, one shape
A Do Now, then one focus question. Tasks at three levels: Starter, Builder, Power Mode. An exit ticket. Every lesson ends on the same help page.

03The cast carries the idea
The characters never stand beside the text. They act out the point. Fitting in is a row of grey, faceless copies. Belonging is the cast in full colour.

04Numbers a student can see
Two savers become a class vote. A debt becomes three numbered steps. The question comes first and the number arrives on the next click.

05Written for Hong Kong
Octopus and FPS, the Mark Six, local law and local helplines. The city is in the art, not in a footnote.

06Built for a room of teenagers
Card sorts, ranking games and short clips. The slide gives the instruction, so the teacher can watch the room.

Send me the material. I will find the story in it.
Notes, data, an old deck or a blank page. Tell me who will read it and what you need them to do.
